As you drive into the lush green valley you will see herds of elk gathering to your right as mountain bikers pass by on paved trails. As you continue to drive into downtown, you will be awed by the beauty of this beautiful village surrounded by mountain peaks.

⚠️Drive Black Bear Pass at your own risk (only for experienced ATV/Jeeps drivers-short season for being open)
🚲Ebike through the valley trails
🧗‍♂️Climb the Via Ferrata (This looked too scary for families with kids. Maybe teens would be ok)
⛷Skiing in winter (We might have to come back for this!)

Telluride has all the cozy mountain ski town vibes, waterfall hikes, hazy ipas, jeep roads and wood fired pizza joints. We loved parking at the end of town at the park where you will find a playground for the kids and a small stream to play in during the summer. As we strolled through downtown, we smelled the fragrant Lilac bushes at every turn. Every season in Telluride will bring new views and experiences. 

Don’t miss a free ride up the gondola to Mountain Village. You will have expansive views of the San Juan Mountains and the beautiful town of Telluride. Pack a lunch to save money, because this town is pricey for most families. 

We highly recommend you stop here on your trip to Colorado…it’s pure magic.
