HOW DO YOU FIND SUCH AMAZING CAMPSITES?

Harvest Host
Harvest Hosts are our go to for overnight stays along a route. We have stayed for free (with no hookups) at countless wineries, farms, orchards, and museums and have never once had a bad experience. It’s good to make a purchase, and we have always been glad to. You can usually buy dinner, wine, tickets, or products in gift shops. It’s been absolutely wonderful. This is a discount link that you can get 15% off and I will also get a discount for your purchase. You wont regret it.
Allstays
Allstays camp and RV is our next place we look for quick overnight spots. This app will tell you if you are able to camp at Walmart’s, Cracker Barrel’s, or other stores along a route. Because lets be real, this life isn’t always dreamy and glamorous. We use this option if it’s a quick overnight and we cannot find a harvest host along the route. Allstays also gives you bridge heights, truck stop gas stations, dump stations, and regular campground information.
Campendium
Campendium is our favorite place to find boondocking sites. If we can camp in nature for free…we are typically up for it. We love that this app includes reviews and gives information on if you will have cell signal in the area! This is great if you plan to work remotely or need the internet for something.
We use a combination of Campendium, allstays, and googlemaps to find regular campground spots. We usually look for state park spots first and if nothing is in the area we look for private campground spots. If we plan to be somewhere more than a few days we like to have hookups to catch up on laundry and cleaning.
Thousand Trails
Thousand Trails is a membership program we are a part of, but only in the southeast. You can buy zone passes for different areas around the US or lifetime memberships that cover the whole nation. You can camp “free” after that and it makes fulltime RVing much more affordable for so many people. While we like that it gives us another option, we don’t usually use it unless it makes sense geographically to where we want to be. These parks do have a plethora of families, so that is probably our favorite part.
